We traded our modern A-rated sea-view home for a cold and draughty period rental while hunting for the perfect renovation project—creating a sustainable family home that works as hard as we do.

Our journey led us to "the one": a flat-roof bungalow on nearly half an acre. It needs everything from a new roof to rewiring, but those solid walls and big garden hold potential to be our forever home.

We're approaching this renovation the way we approach everything—with spreadsheets and oversharing.
